Job Vacancies in International Organisation​s


The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam encourages qualified Brunei citizens to consider employment opportunities with international organisations such as United Nations, ASEAN, OIC and others.

From time to time, MOFAT also advertises job vacancies at international organisations such as the United Nations, ASEAN, OIC, World Meteorological Organization, World Trade Organis​​ation, etc.


Vacancies at the ASEAN Secretariat

The ASEAN Secretariat invites ASEAN Nationals to apply for the following vacancy:​

United Nations Young Professionals Programme

Brunei Darussalam is among the participating countries in the Young Professionals Programme (YPP). The YPP is a recruitment initiative that brings new talent to the United Nations through an annual entrance examination.

The YPP examination takes place once a year on the same day all around the world. Candidates can choose the examination centre that is the most convenient for them to reach. 

Successful candidates of the YPP examination will be placed on a reserve list for possible recruitment at the junior professional level at the United Nations.

Candidates need to apply following instructions provided on the UN Careers Portal –

Admission Eligibility

Holds Brunei nationality
Age: 32 years or younger by the end of this year (Date of Birth: On or after 1 January 1985)
Education: First-level university degree acceptable for each job family
Language: Fluency in English or French
Experience: No experience required
