HIS MAJESTY THE SULTAN AND YANG DI-PERTUAN OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM CONSENTED TO PRESENT AND RECEIVE LETTERS OF CREDENCE AT ISTANA NURUL IMAN

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this afternoon received Letters of Credence from seventeen (17) non-resident foreign envoys to the country, namely:


1) His Excellency Sylvestre Kouassi Bile, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire;

2) His Excellency Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal;

3) His Excellency George Dogoritis. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hellenic (Greece);

4) His Excellency Ivan Hotek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Czech;

5) Her Excellency Samkelisiwe Isabel Mhianga, High Commisioner of the Republic of South Africa;

6) His Excellency Abdulla Matar Khamis Al Mazrouei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates;

7) His Excellency Issop Patel, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius;

8) His Excellency Yazkuli Mammedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan;

9) His Excellency Nimal Weeraratne, High Commissioner of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka;

10) His Excellecy Walubita Imakando, High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia;

11) His Excellency Abubacarr Jah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Gambia;

12) His Excellency Ronaldo Anibal Guevara Alvarado, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama;

13) His Excellency Kreso Glavac, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia;

14) His Excellency Petri Juhani Puhakka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland;

15) His Excellency Dmytro Senik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine;

16) His Excellency Rodolfo Solano Quiros, Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary ofthe Republic of Costa Rica;

17) His Excellency Slobodan Marinkovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia;

Following the ceremony, His Majesty received in audience the four (4) newly-appointed High Commissioners and thirteen (13) newly-appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Also present at the audience ceremony was yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
